Happy Synthesizer Hatsune Miku Cosplay

Hey guys! I was searching through my Vocaloid music library and I found the song Happy Synthesizer! I love this song especially 96neko and Len's version. ^^ So I decided to search around and I found Miku's Happy Synthesizer outfit! Yey! So I will now show you how simple this outfit is to put together. ^w^

STEP 1: Reference pic!

STEP 2: Gathering materials
  • A blue, white polka dotted, collared, button down shirt
  • A fuzzy white open mini vest
  • A pink pleated skirt
  • Two brown leather straps (1 inch wide and 8 inches long)
  • Leather puncher
  • Two small brass buckles
  • Sewing machine
  • A pair of black knee high socks
  • A pair of black wrist length gloves
  • A pair of light brown boots
  • Headphones (will be done in another tutorial)
STEP 3: If you can find the shirt without sleeves then good for you! ^^ If not then that's ok, all you have to do is cut the sleeves off so that there's about 1/4 inch left before the seams then fold the seams into the shirt so that it's kind of like a hem and sew it. Make sure to sew right next to the original seam that held the sleeve to the shirt. This will make it have a nice look to it. :)

STEP 4: Now if you can't find a pink pleated skirt then here's a link to another tutorial that shows you how to make one: http://thecosplaychronicles.blogspot.com/2010/02/how-to-cosplay-pleated-skirt.html?m=1 I think the only change you'll have to make is the lengths of the waistband and pleats so that you can get the same look as in the pic above. You'll use the leather strips and buckles to make the details on the skirt. All you have to do is cut the strips into two pieces so that one measures 3.5 inches and the other 4.5, do this to both strips. The shorter one is the one you'll attach the buckle to and the other is the part that you thread through. Use the leather punch to punch the holes so that you can buckle the two pieces together. Then when you have both buckles made sew them to the skirt. Make sure to fold in the ends of the strips so that it gives it a more professional look. :)

STEP 5: For the vest, if you can't seem to find a mini vest then you can find one that looks like the one in the reference pic and hem it at home so it fits your needs. :D Or you can get a pattern and fabric and make one yourself! ^^

All of the other stuff you can buy at the dollar store or a thrift shop. :) I will post another tutorial for the headphones. :) Thanx for clicking on this post! Every view counts! XD Please follow and subscribe to me on YouTube: animefangirl1221! ^w^
